this afternoon, kris was driving the farm truck around the place, and he parked it at the top of the driveway, right beside the light pole at the left of the picture. it slipped out of park, and rolled about 50 feet, down to the next pole, narrowly missing the blazer.

daddy and stuart wondered why the truck was parked there, then they noticed the pole. from the top of the driveway, the viewer’s angle makes it hard to see that the pole is bent. they called kris and I to come look, then they had mama call duke power. they were afraid that if they moved the truck, the pole would fall over and our power would go.

duke sent 2 guys and 2 trucks, which took about 3 1/2 hours of time and a half, to replace the pole. luckily, we were only without power for about an hour.
